Vote These Candidates for
State Representative
Eric Turer
It has been my great pleasure and pride to represent Brentwood in the N.H. State House for these past two years, and I’m asking for your vote to continue serving our community for another term. I believe I’ve been successful in my pledge to provide better representation for Brentwood in Concord, and in my promise to put sound policy before politics.
I never missed a vote on the House floor, or in my Committee (Judiciary). I’ve sponsored meaningful legislation in response to constituent needs and state priorities, and I advocated on bills that matter to our town. I had the honor of presenting several important legislative efforts in the House chamber, including two proposals offer voters the opportunity to amend the state constitution to restore reproductive freedom as a right. This remains a priority. Under the role of “Constituent Services”, I have also helped many town residents navigate challenges with government agencies, and made myself directly available in every way possible, including holding monthly “Office Hours” at the town offices for constituents to discuss whatever is on their mind.
My service is grounded in my experience and knowledge of our community, along with my professional understanding of the principles of public policy and good government. Issues such as health care access, reproductive freedom, quality public education, public safety, civic engagement, environmental protection, voting rights, and the need to keep our community affordable are all personal to me. Our family has lived in Brentwood for 25 years, giving me a deep understanding and love for this community. We raised our two adult children here, and my wife has practiced as an Ob/Gyn physician in Exeter for decades. Our home is surrounded by land preserved from development by our town’s conservation efforts, and I serve as Brentwood’s representative on the Local Advisory Committee for the Exeter River.
I combine my experience in town with an MBA degree and 30+ years of senior-level policy consulting focused on improving health care access here in NH and across the country. I have seen the best and worst of what government and industry can do to solve problems, and I believe I know the difference. I am a ‘data and numbers’ person by nature, but with a deep sense of empathy and practicality about the impacts that government decisions have on people and businesses.
I believe that I’ve earned the respect and trust of my fellow legislators, regardless of party, as someone willing to build consensus around sensible solutions. Likewise, one of my top priorities has been bridging the partisan divide that is undermining communities and families in NH. I am a founding member and leader of the N.H. Granite Bridge Legislative Alliance—the nation’s first legislative caucus based on the Braver Angels’ principles for disagreeing constructively, and I was proud to bring that group’s training here to Brentwood – another first that the group has adopted as a national model.
I serve Brentwood proudly as a Democrat who works to represent our whole community. Those who know me will attest that I cherish alternate views and dialog on issues, without partisan bias. You will have a clear choice this election and I will gladly discuss any ideas or answer any questions that will help you choose wisely in November. I will do everything possible to assure that Brentwood’s representation keeps our town and state moving forward. I hope to earn your support.
Diana West
I am Diana West, an experienced emergency department nurse and candidate for the House of Representatives for the House seat representing Brentwood, Danville, and Fremont.
My family and I have lived in the Danville area for over 25 years. Our deep love for the area and the beautiful state of New Hampshire allows us to appreciate what makes our state totally unique. Protecting New Hampshire's environment is a primary concern to ensure it continues to be a healthy, safe, and beautiful place to raise our families and future generations. It is our duty and responsibility to preserve clean air, clean water for today and tomorrow.
Intelligent and ethical government comes from policy making that reinforces important issues. Family friendly policies such as increased childcare and reproductive choice contribute to the workforce, our economy, and individual households.
Allowing equal access to affordable education and high-quality childcare and preschool is of primary importance. High-quality and equitable public education is a bedrock principle of our prosperous, free, and democratic society. I value the basic right of everyone in our community to have access to affordable healthcare.
With your support, I look forward to being an active representative for you, working together, hearing your concerns, and translating them to action plans for economic growth and prosperity .
Although I am running as a Democrat, I recognize that alternative points of view and open discussion lead to strong collaboration and better outcomes. I look forward to our conversations in the months ahead.
